Title: Rear suspension advice - Maier, or is there a local option?
Post by: Nevada51 on July 01, 2019, 04:55:28 PM
I'm looking at options for the rear suspension on my '66 fastback. I really like the Maier Racing rear suspension kit with the 4.5 leaf springs and the panhard bar:

However I was wondering whether anyone had any feedback on local options that may be just as good with a similar set up that may save on shipping.

Appreciate any comments options, etc.

Why do you want a panhard bar?

Thanks Dwayne, I wasn't aware of a local agent. Are there any other local options on offer that anyone has experience with?

I know there's some debate about a panhard bar vs Watts Linkage, but the panhard bar is just my preference.

I'm just going with Del-a-lum bushes to control my lateral movement.

The bushes are far better than my driving skills, so anything more on my car is overkill for me.

So you don't know why you want a panhard bar?

Because he wants a hard pan?

Not saying it's the case here, but some people want something just because they want it but don't really know why...

More than happy to discuss the Mike Maier Inc options if you want to pm me your details. I just got back from the US and spent a few days there with him getting updates and info on his line of products. I also have his springs and pan hard bar installed on my Mach1.
