Though I'd share my latest creation. It's a real GT so the original body has not been cut or had fibreglass moulded on to it. Everything has been modified to a one-piece bolt on item so the car can be easily reversed to it's original body styling. So much time and money to get everything modified, lined up perfectly and finished with Glasurit paint. The same amount of effort and tricks have gone into the motor. I know there will be some haters but this is a Mustang done my way for me.

Your car, your vision, do whatever you like,
Looks great in my opinion.
-
That's a car to be proud of...a real standout.
-
Wow what a head turner ,well done :thumb:
-
IMHO it's nice to see a car with the Eleanor input that's not in the movie-style pewter colour.
Looks the goods, nice detailing. I particularly like the openings in the hood.
-
pretty damm tidy to me , and you cant beat red :thumb:
-
Very similar to mine .Colour and all. Another member saw this the other day and thought it was me

Thanks for the kind words. Have not had it out yet as I still need to do a few little things to finish it including raising the rear 1 inch and fitting side mirrors. Here is a few more of my crappy iPhone pics. Might even finally get to a car show and meet some other owners.

-
Looks great, well done. I am sure you are pleased with the result.
More pics and some specs when you get the chance.
-
I'm not the greatest fan of the E but in red/white I think it looks better; probably because it disconnects from the movie car.

Great work, looks amazing.
-
Loving the red and white colour scheme, crazy looking car mate.
-
Absolutely stunning, stuff the haters, they need to get out the house more often.
Cheers,
BTW I have dreams about a shed like that one.
-
That colour stands out like dogs b@#$s. Love it.
Ignore the haters build whatever pleases you, your driving it.
Great looking car.

Haters? Why? We are in 2015!
There's stuff available for mustangs now that can make them far advanced in looks and handling than in 1968 without losing the classic 68 Stang look, if thats your preferred look.
So why not use it? I've installed a new 5 speed Tremec in mine and not interested in the 3 speed manual it came out with for one second. Tremec's first is a ball tearer and 5th idles at under 2,000 at 100.
We are keeping them alive and bringing them up to date.
Great looking 68. I'm a fan.
-
Haters? Where? Even those including myself who are by now a bit over the jaded Eleanor-in-pewter craze are totally impressed with your build & choice of colour. And workmanship. Certainly puts my car well in the shade.

As a new chum,I am amazed at the moronic people who sit on the side lines of forums, just waiting to pounce
and criticise others, in order to try and make themselves seem seem superior. Why? I just don't get it.
Don't they realise that their infantile criticisms say far more about themselves.........
The ridiculous thing is: you could count on one hand the number of Mustangs in Australia that are precisely as they left the factory, all the rest are different.
Love the look of your car, but I am biased..........
Cheers,

@Geronimo, I read your post and then proceeded to re-read the entire thread to try and find out what you were referring to. I still have no idea what you were referring to...
A) Every comments has been fine in this thread
B) Some have shared their opinion on the Eleanor (they are allowed to have this) but every comment has paid compliment to his car
I think we all agree it looks good
-
No No No No, Just responding to op initial comment re haters,
not referring to any comments in this thread, just some of the nasty comments
i have seen over the last couple of months on various other threads,
Not just on this site, it seems to common to most forums,
I repeat, I just don't get it.
Aren't we all on the same side?
Cheers.

I see where you are coming from G'mo. I have similar feelings. No 2 mustangs are identical. It's the differences that make it an interesting hobby, apart from the noise and speed and power and envious looks and speed and power.....
-
Yup, I am an old fart, and I just love the way the car crosses the generation gap, I have kids from 5 or 6 years old through teenagers, to other old farts, both male and female who want to talk about the car, this is what it is all about
for me anyway.
Cheers,
-
Again, thanks for the kind words. To clarify my original post, I just wanted to share for people who might like, and not wanting comments from people who don't. I'm aware that some people like modified cars and some don't - especially when it has fibreglass or "Eleanor" styling. As for the interior, it's mostly standard GT Deluxe apart from Gauges and Seats. Anyway, I finished the car and here is an iPhone pic I took at Sunset.
