Importing/licensing traps/tips?
« on: November 05, 2009, 03:00:05 PM »
Hi all,

I'm new here as I'm just entering the buying phase of my long held lust for a Mach 1.

Does anyone have any tips regarding problems in licensing US imported 69/70 Mach 1s in Oz? This particularly relates to W.A. but  any help or shared experiences is appreciated.

Thanks, Rick.
Rick

Hi Rick, in WA a 1970 vehicles require an engineers report which will mean changing some brake lines and window glass for starters. But a 1969 vehicle just requires the usual headlights and roadworthy type things.
cheers.

Whats the actual build date, as we have a 70 built in September 69 and it hasnt needed the extra, so you may be lucky.
Then again by the time yours is finnished we probably wont be allowed to register anything over 5 years old. :+
cheers mate and keep up the progress.
