Squeaky Front Suspension - 2020 GT
« on: October 21, 2020, 05:37:07 PM »
Hi Folks,
I picked up my brand new Mustang about 3 weeks ago, I'm absolutely in love as I'm sure you all are too with these machines.

I have however a squealy front left hand suspension/strut. It's quite annoying like the noise you would hear when towing a trailer and you hear the hitch squeak over bumps etc.
Anyway I took it in and they replaced Left Hand Front Strut and top mount. The noise was gone for about a day and now it's back. I have to take it back in next week for a 3 day visit.

My question here after my little back story, has anyone else experienced this?
I did some searching around and couldn't see anything specific in the forum.

DJ.

For anyone that was interested in my plight. It turned out to be a bur on one of the engine mounts and as it heated up and expanded it was then rubbing and causing the squeak as it went over various bumps etc. I've had it back a few days now and it all seems to be fine.

Hey Daniel,
That's incredible that they found it, I bet they had people bouncing the car for ages to find that!
Alls well that ends well, but it would be a pain without your new car!
Cheers Phil.

I was thinking thats not right, i had a Falcon that didnt squeak, but then i realised i was confusing it with my commodore.
My Mustang squeaks just walking past it.

Great photo by the way, the D'ahrenberg Cube is a great background for a white car.

Thanks all, good to know it's not the only squeaky car out there.
Of course after driving around the Fleurieu peninsula on a few hills runs on Sunday after about an hour or so it came back.  I'll have to send it in again I guess.

The Cube at D'Arenberg winery is quite impressive, but I agree I reckon this makes it look even better.!!  :smile01:
