Child Seat
« on: September 13, 2019, 11:22:49 PM »
Hey guys I just bought a 2017 Mustang, when I tried to fit my kids seat in I found it was a little large as it blocks half the back window, when my 7 year old Grand Daughter tries to sit in it she hits her head, has anyone had success with a seat and 7 year old ?? Thanks

Our 6 yo grandchild uses a booster seat - one with a thinner cushion than a car seat for more head room.

That's why there are so many for sale, useless as a family car, strictly two seater.

Mate,  I ran a booster seat for my son when he was 6,7, and he still uses it now and he is 8, purchased it from target, it utilises the mustang seat belt, ie it doesnít have its own harness, itís high back with good head support, it has a seat base about 2 inch thick but fits perfectly in the 2016, never had a complaint from my son or any issue with it.

There are options, just be sure to look around. Certainly not a family car, but Iíve done plenty of drives with my son in the car and never an issue, perhaps as he becomes a teenager that will change.

Apologies for the delay, this is the booster I have in the back of the 2016, fits perfectly and utilises the factory rear seat belt, it also has the parcel shelf anchor, have an 8 yr old in it, has been used in the car for past  3yrs with no problems. No issues with rear or side vision, seat finishís only slightly proud of the factory rear seat height. The head support slides up or down, make sure itís down on the lowest setting and it will fit no problems at all.

I have been away for a month and as such did not worry about the seat to much,  I ended up getting the Target one,   It sticks above teh back seat a little and mounts to the parcelshelf no problem.

Thanks for the help
