Putting E series Discs on an 8 inch Diff
« on: June 25, 2019, 11:10:54 AM »
Hi,
Has anyone had experience in putting EF falcon or later discs on an 8 inch diff.
I've just started work on the diff in my 66 and was considering discs, and locally made discs off e-series cars are ridiculously cheap compared to aftermarket stuff.
cheers

Easy done. I actually used EA falcon. You just have to pack the calipers out 3mm to centre them over the disc. I had changed my handbrake to a centre pull on the tunnel and had 2 new cables made. About $150 all up, works fine and the handbrake is excellent

I have the XF discs and have had them for over 10 years, handbrake works great and never been of any trouble at all, at the time they cost me $40 for everything including the discs.

Sounds good. If XF and EA work then EF onward should work as well. The EF one's have a slightly better handbrake set up
