I have one of these - Made in USA. Been very reliable and far better than the cheap cr@p coming from Ch1na.

Comes in Chrome or standard black, and there used to be an ebay seller in Australia.

Do you just want a replacement old style clapper starter? If so, I have one I would part with for a reasonable price. It was working perfectly when I took it out of my car, which I only did because it doesn't fit my T5 bell housing. PM me if you want to discuss.

Alternatively, I have one of these in my car now

They are a good quality Bosch at a pretty good price.

I picked up an old style replacement from East Coast Mustang in Victoria. I think it was a re-manufactured unit from the US or Mexico.
Needed an additional spacer because I fitted it to an auto transmission. Was a straightforward changeover and cost around $120 from memory.
Good luck.

I have headers and with little clearance between them and the old-style bulky clapper starter the latter had issues with heat build-up. Changed to one of those modern compact starters and the problem seems to have gone away, touch wood.
