OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE GAUGE MALFUNCTION
« on: February 07, 2018, 01:58:58 PM »
The outside temperature gauge read out on my 2016 v 8 often malfunctions. It sometimes sticks and doesn't change or other times it's widely inaccurate. I presume this is a faulty sensor? Anyone had this issue?

I don't know the location of the sensor in the new Mustangs but my BMW used to play up and I found that it was mounted under the front bumper. After a while road grime and dirt will build up on it causing it to misread. After giving it a clean works fine.
Suggest you do the same......

It's located on the RHS of the car just inside the lower grille and under the number plate. You can just see it jutting into where the flow of air will pass the sensor.
