66 vs 67 8 INCH DIFF CENTRE
« on: December 09, 2017, 06:34:15 PM »
Can anyone tell me if a '67 8 inch diff centre will bolt straight in to a '66 housing?

The '67 centre has both vertical and horizontal ribbing on the case while the '66 has only horizontal but just looking at some pics on line the bolt pattern looks like its the same.

Axle splines the same? Any other considerations?

They are the same fitting wise . The 67 has a stronger case with the extra ribbing . Both will be for 28 spline axles .
