Rear interior Space Question
« on: December 07, 2017, 03:50:54 PM »
I have been trying to find specs on rear interior dimensions on the coupe and fastback without any luck, would anyone happen to know the specifications in headroom and legroom for the rear of the coupe and fastback or would anyone know off hand if they offer the same space in the back or are different?
Thanks for any answers in advance.

I may be corrected, but ...

I think coupe's have more head room, legroom should be the same.

Fastbacks with their sloping rooflines clearly have less headroom. They also have a more compact rear seat area, which is why they are referred to as '2+2's.
So while the legroom is much the same for fastbacks and hardtops, in other respects they are quite different dimensionally.

Strangely according to the link to the specs website posted the fastback or sportsback 2+2 is listed at having more rear legroom than the hardtop but also almost exactly the same headroom in the rear which was unexpected to be honest.

Actually the legroom is explainable as the fastback has a different amount in the front listed to the hardtop which adds up to the difference there is in the rear but the headroom i would have thought would have been less due to the slanted roofline.

No the front seats bolt to the floor in the same spot the floor is common to both cars, the fast back rear seat is not too comfortable and the sun comes through the fastback glass and burns you, short trips only in the back.

I think there is more leg room in the fastback, as the seat is smaller and lower in the back than the large bench in the coupe.
Iam 6 foot and i have no problems sitting in the back of the fastback, its just the sun burn thing. The kids love it anyway.
