Quoted $435 for first service by dealer, is the going rate or the sucker rate?

And if you got their overpriced and inferior paint protection on delivery ... that wash would have just removed it  :therethere:

My Sister is a service adviser or manager and a local Ford Dealer in Vic. (I feel sorry for her when I see all the complaints posted on here)

I txt her and she responded:
"15,000 first paid service promise is $435" So from that, it looks like the standard sucker rate for all comers. Not sure if that means they promise to charge you $435 even if it only costs them $120 but you get the drift.
Always dreamed I'd have one!

That's about what I paid for my first service. Got free grease marks on my passenger door interior, seat left forward, service books left on front seat (without being stamped) and radio station changed.

Suffice to say, I now get it serviced by my next door neighbour who owns his own mechanic business. 49,000ks and no issues.
