The enclosed DVD features keystone events throughout 2009, the 45th Anniversary of the Mustang, and features as many members Mustangs as we could.
It has been professionally produced by fellow member, Scott Richardson of Vision TV PL, with much assistance from son Glen and wife Jenny, and we thank them very much. It is of a high quality and we will look at offering it to Channel 31 to broadcast on free-to-air television.
It is a great way for those who attended the events to reminisce and those who couldn't make it to see how we enjoy our Mustangs. We are sure you will enjoy it.
Speaking of charities we had a special guest speaker at the last general meeting in Peter Brown from the Macular Degeneration Foundation who, at the request of Kathryn Sloan, collected a donation of $2000 for research into macular degeneration.
He gave us an overview of what MD is and we hope our donation helps to find a cure.
At the December general meeting on the 16th we will have our traditional Christmas Memorabilia Auction and I would like to thank in advance all the members who generously donate items for the auction and future raffles.
With our 7.30 start the evening should not be too late and I will group up items to move things along. We will also have EFTPOS available.
All proceeds from this year's auction will be donated the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick.
Finally, the organisation for All American Day for January 17, 2010 is well underway but we will need members on the day to help with set-up, parking, registration and judging so if interested please contact Ken Buckland or me.
Well, that's it for 2009 and I would like to thank the committee for their huge effort throughout the year and to all the members who make this club what it is today.
Also a special thank you to Phil Preston who, although not officially on the committee at this time, has put much effort into a new accounting system to make our Secretary/Teasurer's job much easier.
Merry Christmas and see you in the New Year.
Enjoy your Mustangs,
David |
